What We Do

The Right Resources for the Work. Not the Other Way Around.

DRT delivers turnkey decommissioning projects without being tied to a vessel fleet or a decommissioning contractor. This independence allows us to structure each project around the most appropriate contractors, equipment, execution strategy, and commercial terms.

Our focus is not equipment utilization or contractor activity. It is completing the work safely, efficiently, and at the lowest responsible total project cost.

Turnkey decommissioning

DRT manages the complete decommissioning process, from initial planning, engineering, and permitting through procurement, contractor management, offshore execution, and regulatory closeout. One integrated management team coordinates safety, quality, cost, schedule, and operational performance while maintaining accountability for overall project delivery.

Flexible, transparent commercial structures

DRT offers commercial arrangements appropriate to project scope and risk, including fixed-price, open-book, and time-and-materials structures. Competitive procurement, defined scopes, disciplined cost tracking, and structured change management provide clients with transparency and improved cost predictability.

Designation of Agent

Where appropriate, DRT can act as a designated agent to manage specified decommissioning activities on behalf of the operator. This provides integrated execution management while the operator retains its applicable underlying obligations. Responsibilities and authority are defined by the governing agreement.

How We Deliver Better Project Outcomes

Procurement based on total project cost

The lowest quoted contractor rate does not always yield the lowest total project cost. Critical path carries the full project day rate, so a vendor that extends that time can cost more than a higher-priced bidder that shortens it. DRT ranks contractors on price, performance, and safety, then capability and availability, including whether experienced crews are free.

Defined scope. Predictable cost.

Detailed scopes, limited exclusions, appropriate lump-sum arrangements, transparent cost controls, and disciplined change management help reduce financial uncertainty.

Planning before mobilization

Offshore delay is expensive. Planning follows an AWOP approach: the team and the contractors align on the full scope, surface the risks, and confirm mitigations before anyone mobilizes. Work is not designed offshore.

Accountability through execution

DRT actively manages field performance, cost, schedule, safety, and contractor coordination, and keeps looking for a better final result.

Our focus remains on the completed work—not the volume of activity required to get there.
